After School Instructor

Job Summary

Learning Lab is currently looking for instructors for our hands-on after school program. Learning Lab's after school enrichment program serves children in grades K through 5 and includes snack, homework help, and enrichment activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist children with homework and academic enhancement activities.

  • Provide support to lead teacher with activity implementation.

  • Work cooperatively with other after-school instructor(s).

  • Provide walking school pick up from neighboring school

  • Promote an inclusive, welcoming, and respectful environment

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians through regular communication about their child’s strengths and areas of growth.

  • Maintenance of the classroom and supplies

  • MUST be available, on-time, and prepared to work during assigned hours, for three/four hours a day, between 2pm and 5/6pm for 2/3 days per week.

Qualifications and Skills

  • College Credits (college credits and study plan towards bachelor’s degree in education preferred)

  • Minimum of one year of experience working with youth; Experience working with groups of children aged 5-11 preferred

ART Instructor

Job Summary

Learning Lab's mission is to enrich young learners through fun and engaging classes that promote creativity, confidence, and social skills. Learning Lab is seeking for an enthusiastic, proactive leader with great organizational skills and proficient arts and crafts capabilities to join our team to teach our art classes.

The ideal candidate must relate well with children and their parents. Preferable prior experience working with children at Summer Camps - Art Classes. This position is an exciting opportunity for creative people who love working and teaching children between the age of 4 to 13.

Classes are given Friday between 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm and Saturday or Sunday late morning, opportunity for additional hour are also available.
